I bought this product for my brother at a different retailer while we were on vacation, it was on sale for just $10 and he is fascinated by money. As he was putting money in, the coin didn’t roll down like it was supposed to, but he didn’t notice and kept putting in coins. Well, you could guess, they all got jammed up and they are in the back part of the slot where they can’t be reached so they can be cleared out.
1) the +/- buttons didn’t work before that…
2) it only shows how much money you have as you’re putting in the coins
3) it registers pennies as dimes and dimes as pennies
4) it didn’t sort the money right, it put some coins in others slots…
Needless to say, it was a big waste of money in more than one way…..being the worst $10 I ever spent for something in my life, and it still has the coins jammed in the slots so I can’t get them out…

This is a terrible choice for purchase. I was giving these as gifts to my daughter neices and nephews and each one was a piece of junk. It is a ripoff to buy them. You couldn’t open the back of it to insert the batteries without stripping the screw – they used a cheap screw with soft metal. Cheap construction, doesn’t sort money well, not worth it even if the cost is $0.01. Don’t buy this!

Got one of these as a birthday present last week to replace the low tech coffee can by my side of the bed. It seemed to work OK counting and sorting pennies, nickels and dimes but it would regularly jam on quarters. Had to bang it on the table and shake it at different angles to free up the jams. This would also mix up the previously sorted coins. Gave up after about the fifth jam. Would rate at zero stars if it was possible.

I too received this as a Christmas gift and really liked the way it was supposed to sort. I was okay with the one coin at a time – but not when they started getting stuck in the sorter. This is very frustrating and not worth the other benefits to this product. It is going back and I will be purchasing something else. I don’t recommend this at all.
